About Brittani

It is my greatest privilege to join someone on their journey and help them find their way around the boulders, over the stumbling blocks and out of the crevasses that have derailed goals, clouded views or kept them from happiness.  I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Lic. #76334) currently practicing in Santa Monica, CA.   I specialize in working with individuals struggling with the effects of trauma, dissociative disorders, Borderline Personality Disorder, mood and anxiety disorders, and relational issues.

I obtained my Masters in Social Work from the University of Southern California in 2013 and my clinical training at both Vista Del Mar, working with children and adolescents, and Project 180, working with offenders diagnosed with mental health and co-occurring substance abuse disorders.  I then worked extensively with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness for three and a half years.  During this time, I was trained in and began providing DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) to those who found it difficult to cope with and express their emotions in a healthy way.  I found almost of all of my clients were struggling with a variety of traumas and sought training in EMDR to help them process their trauma and move forward in a healthy way. This then led me to seek training in dissociative disorders which I began working with in 2020. I have found this work intensely rewarding and have redirected my focus accordingly.

Along the way I have learned that negative beliefs and fears impede all of us and I work with all of my clients to challenge and face these until they are small, manageable or no more than memories. In my private practice, I bring my warmth, empathy and sense of humor combined with my training and experience to support clients to build hope, motivation and lives they want to live.
